Desvian Bandarsyah selaku Wakil Rektor II Uhamka mengatakan bahwa Uhamka sangat mengandalkan kepada dosen dan tenaga kependidikan yang memiliki tugas dan tanggungjawab dalam
meningkatkan mutu dan kualitas. Ia mengatakan bahwa mutu dan kualitas dari waktu ke waktu
selalu meningkat tuntutannya, sehingga Uhamka dituntut untuk
terus-menerus bisa memenuhi standar peningkatan.

“Sebuah program studi dan fakultas menjadi baik disebabkan karena unit penjaminan mutunya berfungsi dengan baik.

Saya katakan bahwa lembaga penjaminan mutu beserta unit-unit kerja di bawah nya itu semacam lembaga superbody.
Maka jika penjaminan mutunya bekerja dengan baik, kita harapkan mutu universitas menjadi semakin baik.
Begitu juga dengan bapak dan ibu dosen, bahwa program studi yang baik itu disebabkan kinerja dosennya yang baik diantaranya
melakukan riset, menulis, melakukan pengabdian, hasil riset dan pengabdiannya diterbitkan dalam artikel jurnal,
” tutur Desvian.

Desvian Bandarsyah menambahkan catur dharma perguruan tinggi dikalangan perguruan tinggi Muhammadiyah dapat menjadi agenda akademik keilmuan dan profetik yang nanti akan dilaksanakan oleh dosen, unit penjaminan mutu dan tenaga kependidikan di lingkungan Uhamka.
Ia juga menyampaikan pesan rektor Uhamka kepada para dosen atau tenaga kependidikan yang telah menerima SK Rektor.

“Bapak Rektor beserta pimpinan fakultas menyampaikan terima kasih kepada
bapak dan ibu yang telah diangkat untuk menjalani tugas-tugasnya
serta atas pengabdian yang telah dilaksanakan untuk institusi kita.
Mudah-mudahan bapak dan ibu terus bisa menjadi bagian dari proses
perjalanan Uhamka yang lebih kokoh lagi dengan tantangan yang lebih besar,
